Dear Kylo,

I've been waiting for you for 8 months, 3 weeks and 4 days; but realistically my whole life (40 years of it!). Through every ultrasound, every kick, every late night of wondering what you'd look like, and who you'd become. And now here you are: 7.12 pounds of pure love, wrapped in a baby foot printed hospital blanket, staring up at me, like you're trying to figure out "me" just as much as I am trying to figure out "you".

You have my nose, my eyes, and my heart.

I don't know who you'll become. I don't know what you'll love, what will frustrate you, what will make you laugh, but I know this: you are already the most interesting person your Mom and I have ever met. We will spend the rest of our lives in wonder and amazement of every little thing you do.

This website is a promise to you. Your parents, relatives, and friends are going to share with you all the moments we've witnessed — your firsts, your quirks, all the ordinary days and the extraordinary. So that someday, if you want to, you can come here and see for yourself the way we've always seen you, and loved every second of your life.
